TWELVE NATURE RESERVES
Åkulla beech forests suit all types of hikers. Experienced hikers should look for the tougher and more challenging trails such as Skogsbostigen, with fantastic views of Hiaklitten. The Älvasjöstigen is somewhat easier, and you can also bring a stroller. Use the trail maps in your pre-packed bags to plan your day in the forests!

Thanks to the Right of Public Access (Allemansrätten), we all have the opportunity to enjoy nature. When spending time in forests and natural areas, it’s important to remember that someone owns the land you’re on. Here are a few guidelines that are good to keep in mind:
Show respect for landowners and their property. Avoid disturbing animals, damaging fences, or approaching houses and farms. Take your trash with you, avoid lighting fires where it might damage the ground or forest, and respect cultivated land. Park responsibly so you don’t block roads, driveways, or turning areas — these are often needed for agriculture and forestry. Stick to trails and marked paths where possible. Thank you!
